  • Weighing personal issues and experiences when deciding to run for office
  • Determining which Association office to seek
  • Developing a basic campaign plan
  • Managing time effectively while campaigning
  • Making effective use of technology
  • Raising funds
  • Preparing and delivering campaign speeches
  • Presenting oneself well

Workshop Application Process

HCR offers CTW to fifty (50) participants, all of whom will be selected by criteria developed by the NEA Women's Issues Committee.
Note: The program is open to all Association members. However, persons who are announced candidates for local, state, or national Association office during the NEA's 2009-2010 fiscal year (September 1, 2009 - August 31, 2010), will not be eligible to participate.
